ACCURACY PROCESS
Corrections & Update Policy
How to report an error and how AI Tool Shortlist verifies, corrects and records material changes.
Report a correction
Use the contact details published on our Contact page. Include the exact page, statement, proposed correction, supporting URL and date accessed. Vendors must disclose their relationship to the product.
What happens next
- We locate the exact page section and field.
- We check the strongest available dated source.
- We stage the change with current-versus-proposed preview.
- The owner approves, rejects or requests revision.
- Publishing requires a separate confirmation and backup.
Material corrections
A material error can affect price, privacy, availability, safety, ranking or a purchase decision. We prioritise these and may add a visible correction note. Minor copy edits may be made without a public note but remain subject to internal version control.
Update frequency
We review high-impact facts more frequently than stable background content. A “last verified” date means a source was checked on that date; it is not a guarantee that a vendor did not change something later.
